First, a few words about caution in Vegas. The entire city runs on tourism, and a significant number of terrible people also count on tourists to be victims. So please travel in packs and exercise more than the usual amount of caution about your wallet and your person, especially if you’re drinking. Over the years we’ve found that – when surrounded by thousands of roller derby friends – people tend to get a false sense of safety at RC. But there are very very bad people in Vegas (and everywhere) and you should be wary. Please. And look out for each other always! Please be extra cautious.

The average distance from the Expo hall to Fremont St Experience & our host hotels is 0.7 miles. Many people skate it – together!

Parking
Parking is free for our group rate at the host hotels (oversized parking costs extra). You can usually get free parking in the open, unsecured lot across from the Expo, and relatively inexpensive paid parking ($5 at RC23) in a stack lot at our hall.

RollerCon Shuttles
RollerCon shuttles run from 8am – 9pm on skating days Thur-Sat, 9am – 9pm on Wed & Sun, from the Expo to host hotels. Anyone with a RollerCon wristband can ride the shuttles.

Smart phone stuff
g-maps on your phone will give you transit options (anywhere you are in the world) if you click the wee bus icon at the top of the directions window.

Derby Ride Shares
If you like meeting new derby friends or are traveling in a group, consider joining our RollerCon Ride & Room Shares facebook group. It’s not uncommon to organize carpools there, and derby folks will frequently offer to do rides for cheaper than rideshare apps (we see lots of grocery runs, too, in there). The group is closed and we try not to let non-derby people in, but you should still EXERCISE CAUTION if you’re arranging something with people you do not know!

  • Feel like walking or skating? Here’s an interactive RollerCon map that will help you find the important stuff, like sushi, skateparks and urgent cares.

Ride Shares
Again, please please check the license plates. Those incidents you heard about? They happen in tourist cities where people tend to drink a lot. Like Las Vegas. Also, here’s a handy link:  https://estimatefares.com/
