For the thousands of people diagnosed every year with life-threatening blood cancers like leukemia and lymphoma, a cure exists. Over the past 25 years Be The Match ® , operated by the National Marrow Donor Program ® (NMDP), has managed the largest and most diverse marrow registry in the world. It only takes a few minutes and simple cheek swab to be tested. Look for the Be the Match folks at RollerCon and check out more Be the Match info (on facebook).
The mission of FIRST® is to inspire young people to be science and technology leaders and innovators, by engaging them in exciting mentor-based programs that build science, engineering, and technology skills, that inspire innovation, and that foster well-rounded life capabilities including self-confidence, communication, and leadership. First is supported by our STEM Family games!
Planned Parenthood is a trusted health care provider, an informed educator, a passionate advocate, and a global partner helping similar organizations around the world, and RollerCon has supported them with donations since our very first events. Planned Parenthood delivers vital reproductive health care, sex education, and information to millions of people worldwide. In spite of the fact that birth control and access to health care is essential to women’s lives—there are powerful people and organizations attempting to limit or deny women access to it. Find out more about what Planned Parenthood does: https://www.plannedparenthood.org/
The Gay and Lesbian Community Center of Southern Nevada is a community-based organization that supports and promotes activities directed at furthering the well-being, positive image, and human rights of the lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, and queer community, its allies, and low to moderate income residents in Southern Nevada. We support their efforts with game seats and other activities! More info: http://www.thecenterlv.org/ https://www.facebook.com/TheCenterLV
What do we do with the food you leave behind at RollerCon? We collect and deliver your food to Three Square (a Feeding America partner). Look for the Three Square barrels in the convention area to help feed hungry people in the Las Vegas area! Three Square’s mission is to provide wholesome food to hungry people, while passionately pursuing a hunger-free community. They combine food banking (warehousing canned and boxed goods), food rescue (obtaining surplus or unused meats, bread, dairy and produce from hospitality and grocery outlets), and ready-to-eat meals to be the most complete food solution for Southern Nevada. Please bring your unopened boxed and canned food for the barrels (and if you want to bring perishables, we put those out for the track crew, too). Thanks for helping!

Charitable donations for 2022: our first year back (sort of after? sort of during) COVID.
Short version: $7896 collected for Planned Parenthood.
Longer version:
We usually raise a lot of money for charity a variety of ways, but the majority is from bout tickets. In 2022, we didn’t do bout tickets because we didn’t want to pack you in bleachers during the pandemic. But even without the bout tickets, and minus a few events we also use to collect dough, that’s still well over our 30% of normal years goal! But it wasn’t a normal year, was it? We usually split a bigger pile between many super worthy charities. But in 2022 we gave it all to Planned Parenthood.
