MVP Class Early Sign Up
Here’s how it works:
Early Sign Up is done in waves in our VORC system. Our system cannot handle thousands of people signing up at one time, so instead of an exact time and date for signups, we’re giving you a window. Class signups will open during this time:
-
- MVPs can sign up for up to 2 classes the third week of JUNE.
- MVPs can sign up for up to 2 more (total 4) classes the fourth week of JUNE.
We might open sign ups for a couple more classes after that, depending on how many pre-reg spots are left. We are intentionally not pinning down the exact date and time that classes will open, because you crash our servers and everything freezes and you all freak out. So – this week. No one is going to miss out, no matter when they sign up during that week. We have so many coaches, and so many classes, that even the very last person to sign up will still have excellent options and many class spots available. PLUS we only pre-register half the spots in each class, so every single class in our system will have space available for more students at RollerCon. This is a ZERO FOMO situation so please try not to be anxious about it.
It is possible that the coach may cancel or reschedule a session. We’ll contact you at the email you gave us if that happens. Please make sure your email is accurate.
- How to Sign Up for Classes (MVPs Only)
Q: Why only two or four (or possible more) classes?
A: That’s how the math works out. We know that there are a lot of MVP passholders that do not typically take classes, but we have to assume that they all might. Don’t worry, you can sign up for more classes on site, keep reading!
On Site MVP Class Registration
NEW THIS YEAR: Smaller class sizes. We’ve been experimenting with class sizes for all the years of RollerCon. Our goal is to maximize the number of people who can enjoy the classes, without making the class so full it’s hard to learn. So please give us your opinion in our feedback polls to guide decisions next year!
2024:
- MVP classes max out at 60 students; 30 reserved in advance and 30 spots available on site (same as 2023).
- MVP Skatepark classes max out at a 15/15 for a total of 30 people in each class (reduced from 40 in 2023).
HOW IT WORKS:
- You may line up for the next class at that track entrance.
- You may not hold space in line for someone else. Every person who wants to go to the class must be in line.
- Door people will check your badge and your ID to enter the MVP area and clerks will use them to register you for the class session.
- Classes are all labeled by skill levels. You may not skate in a class that doesn’t include your skill level.
- 15 minutes before the class starts, pre-registered people on the upcoming class roster will be checked in at the track entrance. Pre-registered people who are not in line 15 minutes before class may lose their spot.
- Students are welcome to begin gearing up in line, but please use caution. When the previous class exits, the next class will be welcomed in to put on skates and begin the session.
- Once the limit for the class is reached, you may have the option of auditing off skates. You may not bring skates into a class if you’re auditing – your gear bag must be stowed in the get ready area.
Types of Sessions
MVP classes are open to MVP passholders only and have class limits. We do early sign ups via VORC for half the spots in each class, and the other half of the spots are drop in, as described above.
Hosted sessions are – well, just what they sound like: sessions hosted by our favorite coaches, scheduled in non-MVP areas. Anyone with an on-skates pass and the rest of the requirements for that area may attend, and drop in and out. These sessions give you a chance to see what our coaches are like, and offer an opportunity to interact in a more casual setting with some of the awesomest folks we know. We don’t regulate these sessions.
Seminars and events in seminar rooms including off-skates athletics, meetups and social events (in seminar rooms and other locations) are open to anyone with any RollerCon pass, unless the description says otherwise. No early sign up is required. Coaches can decide a class is full enough and close the door, if they choose, so it’s wise to come a little early if you think the session will be popular. But our seminar rooms are huge so don’t worry too much.
Private sessions are available with most of our coaches from 6pm – 8pm Thur – Sat. Contact the coach directly to check on their availability and rates.
