MVP Pass: That’s the “all access” pass. With the appropriate insurance validation and skill minimums, MVPs get entry into all on and off-skates events, plus access to the training camp, open skate rink, bouts, Challenges, open scrimmages and social events. There are 1750 of these passes available on Black Friday, and they sell out pretty quickly (about 36 hours in 2015). But here’s the good news: whenever someone cancels a pass and BPT refunds it, that pass becomes available. If you want one of those, you could get lucky and check the ticket page the day their cancellation gets processed. Check here by scrolling down and looking at the ticket quantity available. Please DO NOT email us about it. There’s no way for us to know when BPT will process the cancellation.
Skater Pass. This pass, with insurance validation and skill minimums, allows you to participate in open skate sessions, scrimmages, challenges and bouts, and gets you entry into all the non-skating RollerCon events, including off-skates athletic training, seminars, swap meet, vendor village and every social event. The skater pass does NOT include entry into the on-skates training camp. These passes are sometimes still available at RollerCon, but cost a lot more than if you get them in advance.
Off Skates Convention Pass. If you don’t skate, this is the pass for you. This gets you convention off-skates (including NSO & staff, if hired) access to most on-skates events, excluding on skates training, but including bouts, scrimmages, challenges, off-skates seminars and social events. These passes are unlikely to sell out, but will also cost significantly more on site.
Children’s Pass. This gives your baby or child entry to some RollerCon events including audience seating for bouts and challenges and vendor village. Children may not attend on-skates training or 21+ events (like our PM social parties). Junior skaters are welcome to attend RollerCon with an Off Skates Convention Pass. There are no skating events for juniors at RollerCon. Please note that RollerCon is a convention for adult athletes which (like the entire city of Las Vegas) frequently includes competitions and events featuring adult themes, violence, drinking, profanity and nudity. RollerCon is generally inappropriate for children. Parents who bring their children enter at their own risk and assume all risk for their children. Children must be actively supervised at all times. For insurance and safety reasons, we do not offer free passes or free entry for children or babies of any age.
Volunteer Pass. This is an MVP pass only available to volunteers from the year before, and it costs less than the very cheapest Early Bird MVP or any other ticket that the regular non-volunteers can buy. This pass doesn’t sell out. You can earn one for next year by volunteering for our RollerCon Army!
We have assigned seating available for our most popular bouts. Find out more about which bouts feature advance seating, seating prices, ticket types and the charities who benefit from your ticket purchases at our Bouts page.
Vendors get a free pass with each booth. We ask them to fill out a form that we email directly. If the pass is for a skater, we give them an MVP Vendor Pass. If they say they’re not skating, they get an Off-Skates Vendor Convention Pass. These passes are the same as the MVP / Off-Skates passes listed above in every way except that they are a different color to indicate that the holder has after hours access to private vendor areas. Vendors who wish to purchase more passes can check a box during BPT purchase to indicate that they want the holder to have Vendor Access.
All skaters (including officials) must have an MVP or Skater pass and validated insurance to skate at RollerCon. No exceptions! More Info.
ROLLERCON PASS POLICIES
These policies apply to everyone, not just everyone but you. Thanks for understanding!
ABOUT SOLD OUT MVP PASSES
Once they are sold out, they are sold out for EVERYONE. Please don’t email us asking to make an exception, or let you use someone else’s pass. If you do email us, we’re just going to sympathize, tell you the same thing, and encourage you to check out the Skater Pass, instead.
ABOUT YOUR PASSES:
Your pass must have your REAL NAME and it must match your Government-Issued ID. If it doesn’t, you will have to get a reprinted pass, which costs $35 and takes time to happen (especially if you’re checking in Tuesday or Wednesday, when the lines tend to be longer).
SHIPPING / WILL CALL:
Passes will be mailed out to US attendees by Brown Paper Tickets IN JUNE. Registration Packets will be available at the RollerCon Registration area. International orders will be available for pick-up at the WILL CALL desk at RollerCon.
Tickets are non-transferable, which means you may not give your ticket to someone else. You will not be able to buy someone else’s pass, either. Every pass name must match holder’s government-issued ID and the insurance info given to us at purchase. Sorry, but we can make no exceptions to this rule.
Unfortunately, we cannot upgrade passes. You can purchase an upgraded pass then cancel the one you don’t want, though (by using the link below).
Deferrals expire July 12th.
Roll your pass over to the next year!
- Deferrals are available for all RollerCon passes for a $25 fee before June. The fee goes up after June.
- Deferrals are good for one year (passes earned or purchased can be used for the next following RollerCon only).
- Passes are only deferable one time (not for multiple years).
- Your ability to defer each year’s tickets expires on July 12th of that year.
- If you already filled out the deferral form AND you have your ticket already, we need you to mail it back to us or we can’t defer it.
- Mailed badges must be postmarked by July 12th.
- Volunteers must have signed up for their free pass before they can defer it. If we just didn’t hear from you at all, we can’t defer your pass (because you don’t have one yet!). Please sign up for your pass using the email we sent you, then defer it.
- Please email firstname.lastname@example.org to defer your VOLUNTEER pass (purchased passes must go through the paypal link above). Please include your real name & the words “Staff Pass Deferral” in the subject line. Thanks!
REFUNDS / CANCELLATIONS RollerCon passes can be refunded for a $50 fee.
Cancellations expire July 1st. RollerCon passes are not refundable after July 1st.
How long does it take? It depends. Rollercon takes 2 business days to process the cancellation, and BPT handles their end of the cancellation within 5 business days. From there, it depends how you paid for in the first place. Your bank processing time depends entirely on your bank, but most of the time credit card refunds happen within another 7 days. So start looking for it in a couple days, but don’t get concerned for a few weeks.

EXCEPTIONS AFTER CANCELLATIONS EXPIRE
Exceptions expire July 21st.
If you have an injury that prevents travel or a serious illness or death in your family that occurs after our cancellations expiration date, we can defer (not refund) your pass up to July 21st (the Friday before RollerCon starts). Documentation is required. Please email *before July 21st* to request an exception: email@example.com. Deferrals can be used for the same pass the following year. Passes may be deferred only once, not for several years.
*emails sent after July 21st may not be processed.
INJURIES AT ROLLERCON
Injuries at RollerCon that result in the skater being referred out for further assessment or treatment will result in our EMT Manager holding the injured skater’s skating pass until they return with a Return to Play release from a qualified medical professional. If the skater is cleared to skate, their pass will be (happily) returned to them. If the injured skater is not cleared to skate, the EMT Manager will discuss ticket options with the skater. Please note that this only happens in extreme circumstances (generally when the skater leaves in an ambulance), and our first and most important priority is the skater’s safety. Find out more about what happens if you are injured on our Safety Flow Chart. In spite of rumors to the contrary, minor injuries do not get anyone a free pass for future years.
