National Indigenous Women’s Resource Center (NIWRC) is a charity that is dedicated to restoring safety to Native women by supporting and upholding the sovereignty of Native tribes. Not only are indigenous women murdered at far higher rates than other people, but the disappearances and murders are under-reported, inadequately investigated and tracked, and rarely covered by news media. NPR reports on new research. We support the NIWRC with the ticket money you pay for games like the Nations Champs. Find out more about their work. at http://www.niwrc.org/

National Public Radio is an American non-profit  media organization that serves as a national syndicate to a network of 900 public radio stations in the United States, and also broadcasts international content from news organizations like the BBC. Check out their news and podcasts: https://www.npr.org/

Planned Parenthood is a trusted health care provider, an informed educator, a passionate advocate, and a global partner helping similar organizations around the world. Planned Parenthood delivers vital reproductive health care, sex education, and information to millions of people worldwide. In spite of the fact that birth control and access to health care is essential to women’s lives—there are powerful people and organizations attempting to limit or deny women access to it. What do we do with the food you leave behind at RollerCon?
three square feeding americaThe Fabulous Sin City Rollergirls have partnered with us to deliver your food to Three Square (a Feeding America partner). Look for the Three Square barrels in the convention area to help feed hungry people in the Las Vegas area!

Three Square’s mission is to provide wholesome food to hungry people, while passionately pursuing a hunger-free community. They combine food banking (warehousing canned and boxed goods), food rescue (obtaining surplus or unused meats, bread, dairy and produce from hospitality and grocery outlets), and ready-to-eat meals to be the most complete food solution for Southern Nevada. Please bring your unopened boxed and canned food for the barrels (and if you want to bring perishables, we put those out for the track crew, too). Thanks for helping!

Charitable donations for 2023: our first year back (sort of after? sort of during) COVID.
Short version: $7896 collected for Planned Parenthood.

Longer version:
We usually raise a lot of money for charity a variety of ways, but the majority is from bout tickets. In 2022, we didn’t do bout tickets because we didn’t want to pack you in bleachers during the pandemic. But even without the bout tickets, and minus a few events we also use to collect dough, that’s still well over our 30% of normal years goal! But it wasn’t a normal year, was it? We usually split a bigger pile between many super worthy charities. But in 2022 we gave it all to Planned Parenthood.
